San Marcos High School Royal Band BoostersThe Band Boosters comprises parents, administrators, alumni, and supporters from the greater Santa Barbara community. Its mission is to support the San Marcos High School Instrumental Music Program — an award-winning program, which regularly brings home top honors in competitions close to home and further afield.
There is no cost to joining and parents of current participating students are automatically considered Boosters. (There is a separate organization that supports San Marcos' choral music program, which operates independently of the Royal Band Boosters but uses the same non-profit corporation.) One of the key functions of the Band Boosters is to raise funds and manage the accounting for all the San Marcos High School Bands and assist with the logistics of getting the shows on the road. In addition, the Boosters gives support at competitions and practices, organizes social events for band students, and supports the Director in any way possible so that staff and faculty can spend the bulk of their time and creative talents teaching the students and putting together the shows. There are many, many ways — big and little — to contribute to the Band Boosters. If your child is involved in one of these groups, we highly encourage every family to consider donating at least 15 hours of time during the school year in whatever capacity you can. Together, we keep San Marcos strong — and together we make it stronger. |
